DARK ANNA AND THE PIRATES OF KADATH is a creator-owned comic book series that brings together swashbuckling pirate adventure with the dark mythology of Cthulhu. Written by Aaron Duran and illustrated by Ethan Slayton, DARK ANNA is the tale of a fierce pirate captain who uses the blade, the gun, and the spell to brave a distant, nightmare world - all to have her revenge against those who wronged her.

The book follows Captain Anna as she's driven from her native lands to a place far more sinister and alien. Charting a course down waters human eyes were never meant to see, Captain Anna will master arcane secrets and spellcraft as she leads her crew to their day of reckoning. This fearsome pirate vessel and her crew will have their just reward, or lose their lives - and their immortal souls - trying.

Inspired by the real-life saga of Captain Christiana Anna Skytte, a 17th century Swedish royal who would go on to commandeer her own pirate vessel before vanishing on the Baltic Sea, DARK ANNA AND THE PIRATES OF KADATH is a high fantasy exploration of why this master marauder was lost to the history books. Fans of Conan the BarbarianThe Wake, or Northlanders should not miss out on this epic tale that crosses the high seas and sails deep into the realm of Lovecraftian nightmares.

Why Dark Anna?

Because the story of Christina Anna Skytte is one that needs to be told. For too long has this intriguing woman been lost to the pages of history. There is no better way to bring her back into the light than by casting her into a sea of horrors and adventure within HP Lovecraft's little-used Dreamlands setting. It doesn't matter if you're a fan of high seas adventure, deadly monsters, or dark magics - DARK ANNA AND THE PIRATES OF KADATH is the comic for you. Captain Anna is sailing soon. Will you join her crew and sail under the blood red flag?

Issue 1 - Unto the Undreaming Eye - Facing the dangers of Kadath, Captain Anna and her crew sail to a dark harbor seeking forbidden knowledge that promises a way home. But the Captain has plans of her own, plans that may spell doom for her men.

Great concept that is executed masterfully.
